No Weapon Forged Will Prosper

Wouldn’t you love to know that every unjust accusation made against you is ineffective? Life would take on a different perspective if we knew that there was a big sign that came up over our lives anytime a false accusation is made that said:  Sting ineffective.

Well I have good news for you. This is what the word of God says:

No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. And their vindication is from me, declares the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)

God never said weapons would not form against you such as accusations, insults, and the like…

He said that weapons formed would not prosper.

This is the key to having a different perspective when you are falsely accused. God’s Word is our plumb line to deal with this. And His Word says that He has this. Because we are servants of the Lord, our heritage is that He will vindicate us. And for most of us this is good news. Some of us enjoy a good fight; consider it a challenge to stand against the insults, justify ourselves. But for others, it can be exhausting and a great temptation to engage in a battle in which we are not called to fight.

GOD HAS THIS. He really does. I have observed Him:

Take up the offense and fight for me…

Turn it around for good…

Lead me beside His Living Water quenching my hurt with His Word…

Delighting in me as He fights the accusation on my behalf

Friends, it is easy to take the bait when we are falsely accused and fight back. But how about when we are rightly accused? Now that is another story. What does the Word say about that?

If you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then offer your gift (Matthew 5:23).

When we have wronged our brother or sister it interferes with our worship– even the gifts that we give to the Lord on His altar must be put aside to first get our hearts right. Seeking forgiveness with a pure heart opens the doors for us to give freely of ourselves to the Lord. Otherwise our spiritual lives are blocked.

Have you been falsely accused? Remember God has this.

Have you been rightly accused? Seek forgiveness and reconciliation.

God works all things out for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28).  I for one am glad that I don’t have to work all things out by myself. What about you?
